We stayed for one night as part of a touring holiday. The Castle was a surprise for the rest of my group and they were stunned! We were greeted as we walked towards the entrance and assistance given with our luggage, a lovely touch. Our two rooms in the main tower were lovely, very comfortable and spotlessly clean. The only irritant was the need to have the windows wide open to cool the room, there is an effective room heating system but I believe unfortunately not actual air conditioning. The views from the roof terrace are beautiful, with so few rooms/ guests it feels like its 'your' castle. The courtyard tower rooms, with a jacuzzi/small pool on their roof, look like they would be amazing.
Dinner was excellent, beautifully presented with a very good choice of courses and surprisingly reasonably priced good wine. I would suggest drinking the local Rioja. All the staff were friendly and helpful.
We loved our stay here and plan to return, the only 'shame' was the showery weather!
