Nice staff Great Vibes

What a great place to stay. The staff we more than accommodating! Sauna, a huge hot tub, and nice rustic feel. Eel river access, a nice general store on the grounds. The rooms were clean. The staff would open the sauna on request and clean it between uses.

We knew we'd be living camp life for a few days, with the simplicity of cabin life, but everything was on hand in a small space to show us that a lot of effort had gone into having everything on hand that a family might need. Truly, the time and dedication put forth by the staff and the preparation of the cabins exceeded our every expectation. Loved this place!

So, if you have ever seen Friday the 13th, this place looks like the inspiration. While the lady who runs the place was very nice, she has 50 cats running around the place and left work which closed up shop literally as I drove up. Luckily she was there. When I went to my room, i walked through several cobwebs and the room felt like a sauna. It smelled of teenage sex and cat piss. The furniture was circa 1967, and I mean literally junk back then. I went to open the window and the window fell out of the sill. Luckily I caught it. After trying to fix it for 10 minutes, I had to basically lean it against the opening. On the backside of the room they has sliding doors to a 'patio'. I tried to open that and it also fell off the tracks. Imanaged to fix that and closed it. The whole place was falling apart. The toilet rocked when I sat on it and I skipped trying to take a shower - wasn't going to risk that. Tried to take my dog down to walk along the river. The reason I booked here was to be able to do that. Well, the whole riverbead is a giant rock landscape of hell. No foliage, no real river access, just no someplace I would spend any time at, which defeated the purpose of staying there. SKIP THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS. What a joke. I am just glad I wasn't murdered and eaten by cats.

Staff was very friendly and made you feel at home. The room was clean and cozy. Bed was too firm, though. Also, needs updated faucets, flooring, etc. However, it was a nice place to stay overall, and my teenage kids loved it. They loved the pool, river access, and small arcade and mini golf. We will definitely stay again in the future.

Funky old site, great little cabin, nice stay!

We loved this funky spot along the 101! It has been in business since the 30s, and the woman who checked us in was nice to chat with and learn some history about. Our cabin was cute & comfy & nice to be able to cook our dinner & breakfast in their little kitchenette. The area around, with the tent sites and RVs and little motel, were just what we needed for a night's stay. It was pleasant to hike down into the creekbed that had some water in it even at this hot time of the year. The skies were smoky due to a fire further east that was raging, but a nice little spot anyway.

Pleasant and funky

This was the 2nd time we stayed at this rustic and charming resort. The cabin we stayed in was lovely, just like before. The only downsides were the screens were torn and bent in some places, so keeping out the bugs was a challenge on a warm day. Plus the toilet had a leak and you could hear it recycling every 5 minutes all day & night. The cute tiny kitchen area made it fun to make your own meals, but come prepared with some of your own utensils and pans; there is only one small frying pan and 2 small pots. And not too many larger spoons or spatulas. Plenty of silverware. The bed is comfy, and there's just enough room for a couple.
