The room was beautiful and the bed was comfortable. However, there really wasn’t anyplace to unpack and store clothing, which made it more difficult to navigate the small space. The shower was great, but the towels were flimsy. The staff were always helpful. We had lunch in the bar one afternoon, which was delicious, although the seafood chowder should have been hotter. We appreciated the parking discount, but rolling heavy bags along the city streets in the rain was exhausting after the drive. Not much to be done about that with the fun location of the property. The hotel is similar to Manhattan boutique properties.

Great stay- booked 2 rooms, 1 for myself and my husband and 1 for my 18-year-old daughter. The retro-funky styling of the rooms was a plus, in the very centre of the city's main street of pubs, restaurants and shops. The staff were super friendly at check-in and check-out. Parking is about a 5 mins walk, no place to pull up and drop your stuff off, so if you do have mobility issues, not sure if it might not be the place for you- might want to contact the hotel. Even though you are right in the middle of the hustle and bussle it was still very quiet. Would definitely recommend for anyone staying in the area and wants to walk the area

Extremely well located and reasonably priced. Read previous reviews and brought ear plugs for the music and nightlife downstairs, but they didn’t help much with the slammed doors and loud chatter of other guests in the early hours. That said, we knew it was a vibrant location with lots of late activities so it wasn’t unexpected! The heat in the room wasn’t working so they needed to bring up the space heater, and did so right away which was quite convenient. One of the mattresses in our triple room had a major dent but we were just two people so the other two beds sufficed.

The hotel is located above a bar that has live music. If you're looking to get a good nights sleep before 2am, I'd recommend staying somewhere else. Good walk to all location and clean/newer rooms.

You’re in the middle of it all at the Residence. Great dining and shopping are right outside your door, and the attached pub is great too. Bring earplugs on a weekend!

We had a wonderful experience with the bellman at the hotel. He was very personable, and even gave us chocolates for our anniversary celebration. The room was very clean and we loved the decoration. Overall we had a great experience there.

I want to start by saying the location is great, right on Quay Street and the staff was very kind and helpful. And if perhaps we had gotten one of the rooms overlooking the street as shown in the picture it would have been better. Not sure if it was because we booked through Expedia, but we were put in room 105 which is the smallest room in the hotel and the window looks at a wall (which they tried to decorate with fake vines) with a green neon light that is the same day or night. The room was so hot and we couldn't get their AC system to work. The staff did get it to work temporarily but then it broke agian. Just be sure to ask for a room (#1-3) that faces the street and you might have a better experience. Also, parking is in a garage nearby the hotel (not owned by hotel). They did give us a discount for being a hotel guest and their staff was helpful as well. Just wish we had a full -sized room and a better view.
