The staff were excellent and extremely accommodating. On the other hand- the hotel itself is tired, old, outdated and dirty. To make matters worse, there was a huge horse race (which I wasn’t aware of) and guests there were out of control. As I was walking into the lobby with my family to return to our room, a large fist fight breaks out in the lobby where a bloodied combatant is thrown out the front door. My kids thought it was cool, but I’m too old for that nonsense. My advice is before you book, ask the hotel if there are any large scale events they are hosting.
