I have stayed in many hotels around the world and Wishing Tree Boutique and Resort ranks right at the top. The views are unreal and impossible to recreate. Waking up to that scenery alone makes the stay special. The staff are outstanding. Warm, welcoming and genuinely happy. Service was spot on throughout, attentive when needed but never intrusive. They struck the perfect balance and gave great local recommendations without ever being pushy. A special mention to Sampath, the manager, who is exceptional. He is attentive, present and clearly takes real pride in the experience of every guest. Nothing was too much trouble and he went above and beyond to make sure everything ran perfectly. The food was excellent. Authentic Sri Lankan dishes were outstanding and the chef’s twists on European classics worked very well. I also did the hotel’s three hour walking tour which was fantastic. Beautiful scenery, local nature, temples and even seeing pottery being made. A really memorable experience. Rooms were comfortable, clean and well thought out and the whole place feels calm, personal and high quality. I would absolutely stay again.

Wir sind mehr als begeistert. Das Hotel hat unsere Erwartungen übertroffen. Die Aussicht ist einmalig, es ist wirklich wunderschön dort. Aber wirklich besonderes haben es die Menschen gemacht die dort arbeiten. Wir haben uns von Sekunde eins sehr wohlgefühlt. Sampath ist so ein toller Mensch, er hat immer ein Lachen im Gesicht, kümmert sich fantastisch um seine Gäste und hat immer alles möglich gemacht für uns. Das Essen ist ebenfalls sehr lecker und die Zimmer sind ein Traum. Es ist mit Liebe ins Detail gemacht, es wird auf Komfort und Sauberkeit geachtet. Der andere Manager ist auch sehr nett gewesen, hatte uns sogar abends bei einer kleinen Wanderung noch begleitet. Wirklich tolles Personal und ein wirklich tolles Hotel! Wir würden jederzeit wieder kommen und können jedem das Wishing Tree Hotel empfehlen! :) Danke an das gesamte Hotelpersonal , wirklich tolle Menschen!

Ein wirklich spektakulärer Aufenthalt, der uns noch lange in Erinnerung bleiben wird. Die Küche war eine kleine Entdeckungsreise für sich: authentisch, herrlich abwechslungsreich und durchweg köstlich — traditionell im Charakter, aber auf Wunsch jederzeit ergänzt um europäische Alternativen, etwa beim Frühstück. Ganz besonders ans Herz gewachsen sind uns Priyantha und sein Team. Aufgesetzte Freundlichkeit sucht man hier vergeblich — stattdessen begegnet man echter Herzlichkeit und einem aufrichtigen Interesse am Wohlbefinden der Gäste, das in jeder Geste spürbar wird. Wünsche werden einem regelrecht von den Lippen abgelesen, oft schon erfüllt, bevor man sie ausgesprochen hat. Auch die Organisation rund um den Aufenthalt war erstklassig: die Fahrer für den Flughafentransfer und die Ausflüge vor Ort, ebenso wie die ausgewählten Guides — durchweg überragend und mit viel Liebe zum Detail. Unvergessliche Momente am Diyaluma Wasserfall und bei Lipton’s Seat haben den Aufenthalt perfekt abgerundet. Wir kommen definitiv wieder — ein absoluter Geheimtipp.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Un vrai coup de cœur. L'hôtel est neuf, décoré et meublé avec beaucoup de goût, et il mérite vraiment ses 5 étoiles, pas juste sur le papier. Sampath et son équipe sont d'une chaleur authentique et amicale, toujours aux petits soins pour aider à organiser le séjour et anticiper le moindre besoin. Le restaurant est excellent, propose une cuisine locale mais variée et une carte des vins bienvenue. Le petit déjeuner est idéal pour démarrer la journée avec tout ce dont on peut imaginer et une qualité excellente. Les vues sur les montagnes d’Haputale sont époustouflantes, depuis la piscine, la chambre et sa terrasse, on ne s’en lasse pas. Un endroit qu'on n'oublie pas et qu'on recommande sans hésiter.

Super schönes Hotel mit herrlicher Aussicht. Die Zimmer haben alle eine Terrasse mit Sicht auf die Ebene. Das Restaurant hat eine eher kleine aber gute Karte und das Essen auch das italienische war sehr gut einzig aber das wussten wir etwas ab vom Schuss
