High Street Inn was easily our favorite B&B we’ve ever stayed at! The staff/groundskeepers are so warm and welcoming - you can feel the sincerity that they want you to enjoy your stay! The bed in our suite was very comfortable, and we are usually picky over that. Also, breakfast was very delicious! This hotel is conveniently located within walking distance to Main Street. Some people might think the walk back could be challenging (it’s a decently steep hill and a set of stairs) but we didn’t mind the short hike after eating our way around the town. We will definitely be returning! Thank you for your hospitality!

We spent 2 nights in Galena at this B&B. The room was immaculate, as well as the rest of the home. Brian and David were excellent hosts. The breakfasts were filling, on the healthy-side and recipes I would love to make at home. Brian and David were both gracious and helpful with restaurant ideas. There were many ways to spend our time at this historic home with indoor and outdoor activities. I especially appreciated the water bottles provided. We will return!

My mom and I had such a wonderful experience here this weekend. Brian made us feel right at home upon our arrival and helped us with our bags. The inn is beautifully decorated and well maintained. We enjoyed learning about the history of the home and its connections to Ulysses Grant. Our rooms were meticulously prepared and cozy. For breakfast, we both agreed the lemon ricotta pancakes and carrot ginger tea cake were delicious! Thank you, Brian, David and David’s mom for hosting us. We were sad to leave, but will be back in the fall! Meredith & Julia

Next level Hospitality! Brian and David provided and excellent B and B experience! The rooms are charming, well decorated and comfortable. Hosts make you feel right at home with snacks (peanut M&Ms, nuts and pretzels), as well as a beverage fridge stocked with bottled water and a coffee machine and hot water for tea in the parlor. Breakfasts were homemade and outstanding! The location provides amazing views across the river, best enjoyed from their beautiful gardens. Most of all the hosts are so kind and thoughtful!

This place is absolutely adorable and Brian David are excellent hosts. The home had such character, so many cozy lil nooks to enjoy and the food was so yummy and fresh. It was an easy walk into town and we will be making this “our place” we stay every time we come to Galena.

Brian and David are the best friendliest host , they made us feel at home and loved their hospitality. They have maintained this property beautifully till the last corner of the home. We loved our room from hand painted walls to the canopy bed, with a view - brought out the southern charm of the property. The breakfast in a pretty English setup was my favorite. Thank you for serving us with delicious breakfast . We would love to revisit the next time we are in Galena!!

What can I say about a perfect experience? First of all, the owners are pleasant, down to earth, gracious hosts. They put their hearts into the beautiful escape and need to be proud of it. The atmosphere is inviting, relaxing. Comfortable. The inside of the home is a walk back into time but with modern pleasures of today. Everything from the soaps and lotion, to the chocolate and welcome note in the room made our stay memorable. The outside gardens were a relaxing rest after our climb up the stairs from the main street. The room was impeccable, clean and comfortable. I even went home and purchased the pillows. This is a B & B and the breakfast was superb! Freshly made items that were soothing to the palate! The presentation was impressive and delightful at the same time. Afternoon treats were much appreciated. Icetea, water, and coffee were always avaIce tea, What more can I say? Brian and David were what I would hope every B & B owner were, pleasant, knowledgeable, and kind. I felt like I was home. Thank you Brian, David, and your little pup. I will remember my stay and let others know how special you made it. Thank you, Donna & Mitch
