Amazing staff, always doing their best to grant an excellent stay. Great location, comfortable and clean (although some mold can be seen in the washroom). Only area of improvement I suggest is their Wi-Fi - tremendously slow: speeds should be improved.

I would strongly recommend the hotel to anyone that is looking to visit Madeira Island. Right in the heart of the city of Funchal. The staff were professional, kind and very informative. Will definitely stay here in the future.

Pleasant Hotel

Lovely clean Hotel. Short walk to sea front Very clean room but bed too hard for me but fine my husband Disappointed with the breakfast area. Dirty dishes were left on tables that had been vacated. Nothing was cleared away until there was no where clean to sit. Very surprised because the rest of the Hotel was spotless Staff very friendly and helpful

This hotel is in a great area,with a great staff. The only issue was the mattress was hard, and the pillows were flat. This was noticeable by my wife and I. Although a personal opinion, the staff is very good and I think all the good that this hotel offers far out weighs the flaws.

We transferred to this hotel as our original hotel was overbooked. The hotel was vey good but, as a business/city break hotel, was not suitable for our holiday. The staff were very understanding and helpful in us selecting and moving to more suitable accommodation. We would definitely recommend the Turim Santa Maria for a city break/business stay

I've stayed at a Turim group hotel in Lisbon and that experience was so overwhelmingly positive that I had no hesitation making a booking at one of their other hotels. Every aspect of our stay was not just satisfactory but outstandingly good: the friendly and knowledgeable staff who were always willing to provide information and advice (especially about local restaurants); the panoramic vistas from the rooftop; the delicious breakfasts; the immaculately clean rooms with very comfortable beds which gave you the feeling that nobody has stayed in them before. Not least, the location could not be better, in an area that is not dominated by hotel after hotel after hotel. Turim Santa Maria is just minutes away from the old town (Zona Velha), the farmers' market (Mercado dos Lavradores), and also one of the best places to swim in the sea in Funchal.
