The rooms had a distinct smell of mold and about half the wallpaper had dark splotches underneath which were clearly water intrusion promoting mold growth. The location was good and the checkin process was fine (a bit cumbersome), but the dankness of the room especially on first entry was bad.

Urine Smell Filled up Room

The bathroom smells like urine the entire stay, and it was disgusting. It does not seem like they clean the rooms in between occupants.

Noise sounding like a metronome sounded all the time - hard to sleep with that. Could feel springs in mattress. Air/heater came on in the middle of the night frequently. Although set heat on, big cold air blew on me in bed during the night. Area quite dark at night, worrisome to walk alone without safety concern. No staff - all self service.

"Unmanned" front desk

The front desk is "unmamned" so they send you an e-mail in japanese with the code to open the front door. When we came to the front desk, we had to check-inn our selves. however we still had to video call with a guy( who we could'nt see, but he could see us). He sounded half asleep and verry disintrested. We came early with our 4 bags hoping to store them at the reception until check-inn time, we were however told that this was not possible and to store our bags at the main train station which is 1.5 miles away Everything else was ok

無人ホテルが初めてで入り口前で戸惑いましたが、チェックイン前に手続きしていたので、iPadでのチェックインはスムーズにできました。お部屋は一見清潔感があり、空気清浄機もありとっても良いお部屋でしたが、隅々までは掃除が行き届いてないように感じたので星評価低めになりました。

リフォームされていましたが、もともとおそらく湿度が高く、エアコンをドライにしても湿っぽかった。とくに、ベッド周りにトイレのアンモニア臭が漂ってしまって、設置されていたエアフレッシュナーを使ったが、臭いが辛くてベッドの足と頭を逆にして、かろうじて寝ました。
