“A lovely guest house , our twin room was up in the attic with some limited headroom, but we knew this at time of booking
Room was lovely and clean with comfortable beds, en suite shower and nice fluffy towels, plus basic toiletries and tea/ coffee making facilities
Jonathan was very attentive and helpful, the included breakfast was very nice and generous, more than we needed
A great stop over for my daughter and I on our south west coast walk”

“Clean and quiet, very comfy bed. Staff were very friendly and helpful, even when I’d asked about a bowling club in Modbury that a family member used, the lovely bar staff said she’d find out for me.
Fantastic full English with great sausages. Nothing seemed too much trouble

“We needed somewhere last minute and I don’t think we could have had any more luck.
Really nice rooms, breakfast was brilliant and the staff were so friendly. They contacted us immediately when they found a watch of ours.
Fully recommend staying here!”

“Lovely stay, just a few yards from the sea front. Lisa and Christophe made us feel very welcome. The swimming pool was great and just what you need after a long drive or busy day around Torbay. The breakfasts we enjoyed each morning were delicious and kept us full throughout the day. Would definitely return and highly recommend a stay at the lovely Charterhouse if you're looking for somewhere to stay in Torquay.”
