This was a nice and clean place to stay in Visalia. The AC worked well and the room was comfortable. The shower was nice, which was a crucial element as I stayed here to decompress from 5 days in Sequoia backcountry.

This is the best hidden gem in the Central Valley. The owner is a great guy, flying a kite in the parking lot with his son. The rooms are nicely decorated and the best breakfast place ever is right next door!

For the money, probably one of the best hotels we have stayed in for a long time. Although built in 1963, the renovations were tastefully done and give this hotel a touch of luxury with a modern flare. It actually felt more like a boutique hotel. My wife particularly liked the little fold down ironing board mounted on the wall as she likes to iron everything even on vacation!

Room was clean, not in walking distance to any restaurants tho had to drive about 10 minutes away but the downtown area is cute. Beds comfortable, renovated rooms were nice. We stayed on second floor and the foundation seemed to be falling when you walk out of the door so that was scary.

The grounds are very nice, the decor in our room was modern, and they extended our check out time by 90 minutes with no extra charge, which we appreciated. But there were some real negatives, as well. At about 8 am on a Saturday morning, the cleaning staff were loudly trash talking a fellow employee right outside our door. The water reservoir in our coffee maker was dirty and there was no way I was going to make coffee in it, so we went to the cafe onsite and paid $10 for two cups of black coffee. There was a large dead bug on the floor when we arrived in the room, as well as a dried spill on the a/c unit. I think we'll try a different hotel next time.
