Veldig koselig lite hotell med nydelige rom. Hyggelig personale. God, typisk norsk frokost med ferske varer. Frokostsalen ligger i et annet bygg rett ved siden av, men i et virkelig flott ærverdig lokale!

Rent och snyggt på rummet, dock väldigt litet och trångt samt väldigt smal dubbelsäng. Personalen var trevlig och hjälpsam men bemanningen slutade redan vid 20:00 Mycket enkel frukost, den kunde ha varit bättre. Dock serverades frukosten i en fin miljö, i en annan byggnad som vi söka upp själva.

Kan ikke huske at annonsen viste bilder av den bratte trappen mellom etasjene, men mulig jeg husker feil. Kunne også vært barnegrind øverst. Var også farlig for min eldre mor med litt dårlig syn. Eller en god totalopplevelse og veldig koselig og unikt.

Det var som å reise tilbake i tid, både innredning og omgivelser var flotte. Det som dro opplevelsen ned for oss, var når regnet slo til og tv ikke fungerte (kom kun no signal) og frokosten som hadde et veldig snevert utvalg av pålegg og brød. Restaurantene i område er nok fine men de er utrolig dyre, så ble Fredrikstad sentrum for å spise denne gang.

Suiten ligger i et eget hus, et par minutters gange fra hotellet og rett ved Torvet med kongestatuen. Du har egen bakgård med bord og stoler innenfor låsbar smijernsport. Hyggelig! Suiten går over to plan, med master bedroom og bad/wc (med vaskesøyle) nede, og en bratt trapp (dette er et av de mange gamle hus her!) opp til nok et soverom og åpen kjøkken/stueløsning. Tømmer og murstein og gammel stil i bunn, med nytt vvs. etc oppå.

God frokost og godt at pålegg ble fylt på og ikke stod og tørket. Kjempeflott spisesal. Nydelig rom, rent og pent. Personalet var veldig hjelpsomme og hyggelige. Svarte på spørsmål som vi hadde slik at vi følte vi ble ivaretatt og fikk et hyggelig besøk i Fredrikstad.

Et lite hotell med sjel og personlig service. Alle rom er unike og vi elsket dette stedet. Rett over gata lå Mormors cafe som var superkoselig! Stille og fredelig midt i det historiske. Kan virkelig anbefales.

Gamlebyen hotell er kjempekoselig, gjennomført innredet i gammel stil. Personalet tok varmt imot meg, og ga inntrykk av å være oppriktig glade i å jobbe der. Frokosten ble servert på Værk, rett rundt hjørnet for hotellet, en enkel, men innbydende buffet i rolig atmosfære. Jeg satte pris på at det ikke var den vanlige køkaoset ved frokosten, men mulighet for å nyte måltidet med lave skuldre.
