My wife and I stayed here for a quick getaway trip and it did not disappoint the hotel is amazing! It’s an old school vibe and it’s all so nice inside, the staff was great! The hotel is in a perfect area with tons of great restaurants and bars and shopping in walking distance. If you’re looking for a place in Fredericksburg to stay the publisher is your spot!

It's a beautiful hotel. The room was gorgeous and spacious. The check-in process was a little slow. It's located within walking distance to downtown Fredericksburg (shopping, tourist attractions, and restaurants). Parking is available in the lot across the street for $25 if paid through the hotel. If not, the lot has hourly rates.

My best friend and I had a girls weekend in Fredericksburg and stayed at The Publisher. Wow. It is an absolutely beautiful hotel, right downtown so everything is walkable, the staff were amazing, beds were comfy, shower was wonderful. It was really such a great experience. A beautiful location in lovely historic Fredericksburg, VA! We needed a weekend getaway and had been been to visit this part of Virginia. When we got to the hotel we were welcomed by a charming hostess, who immediately got us checked in. The rooms are tastefully designed and from the 3rd floor we had a front facing view to the hotel entrance. I used the gym twice (excellent facilities - very clean and spacious). And we had dinner at the Steakhouse downstairs - great food - there is something for everyone (including seafood and vegetarian options). A couple of small tips: (i) use the coupon in the room for 15% off at the Steakhouse (we noticed the coupon too late so didn't get to use it!) and (ii) aim for street parking near the hotel - we ended up paying $25 for the lot near the hotel, but had we been more savvy we would have taken street parking which is free on a Sunday anyway!
