Second time here and it’s just lovely! Having a bat/restaurant open on the weekend is a huge plus when you’re exhausted from travelling and the staff is over the top accommodating. Sharon was so pleasant, fun and helpful! We’ll be back as it’s a steady stop from Charleston to visit out grands in PA

Ironclad was a wonderful place right in Fredericksburg, close to the town and restaurants. Our room was on the 2nd floor, no elevators, but it was okay. Sadly, the Bourbon room was closed, but the staff was ice enough to let us go down and look at the room. Very cool, would stay again!

We have always stayed at the Kenmore Inn, which was recently purchased by new owners.. Now it’s the Ironclad! Some nice new updates were made, and it’s still one of our favorite places to stay in Fredericksburg.. nice to park and just walk everywhere. The breakfast was very tasty too! We will definitely stay here again….

Everything at Ironclad was pure perfection. The staff were professional, yet very friendly and accommodating. The house was beautifully decorated to portray its history but was very comfy on all accounts and felt like home. The bonus was the bourbon room where we enjoyed a very relaxing evening. We will make it a point to return.

A lovely gem in the Historic District of Fredericksburg. Beautiful and charming. Very cozy and welcoming. Lovely bedroom. Bath is small but, functional. Lovely dining room. I loved the 5 minute walk to all of the restaurants and shops. I will visit again and again.

This was a perfect place to stay for the weekend while I was in town. The room was so cute, and the staff was so nice. The chef's breakfast every morning was a nice addition. Would definitely stay here again and will share this place with all my friends and family if they need a place!

I can’t speak for the other rooms, but the room I stayed in looked beautiful but the bed was awful. Probably the most uncomfortable bed ever and creaked at the slightest movement. Also being in the front of the inn the “noise” you may hear in the description is an understatement. The traffic was so loud at all hours of the night with loud trucks and motorcycles reaving their engines and blaring music. Between the bed and the traffic there was no sleep. On the other hand staff was very accommodating and friendly. The bar in the basement was very cool and highly recommend grabbing a cocktail down there.

The Ironclad Inn was a welcome respite on a long drive while relocating. The beds were very comfortable, linens were beautiful, and the Inn itself was gorgeous and very well maintained. There are many restaurants and shops within walking distance, and the neighborhood is very quiet and quaint. The best part was that knowing that we had an early start and would miss breakfast, Sarah prepared smoothie bowls with fresh fruit and granola for us to take with us. A lovely gesture and much apreciated!

Nice older building with nicely decorated rooms. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was a bit small . The included breakfast was delicious and the staff member there was friendly and helpful. Parking is the biggest negative. It is street parking, first come first serve.

The bourbon bar was disappointing....no one waited on us (even though we were told to sit anywhere and that someone would take our order) and bartender seemed a bit overwhelmed so we left without getting any drinks. That is the only reason I didn't give 5 stars on everything. Would definitely stay there again on our next visit to Fredericksburg.♥️

The inn is clean and pretty. Breakfast was amazing! Small complaints: we were there for three nights. There was a door tag with a “do not disturb “ and a “please make up my room.” So, we assumed that at least after the second night, with the tag flipped, someone would make up our room and give us fresh towels. Didn’t happen even though there were housekeepers working. The Bourbon Room bar looked cozy and inviting, but it was hardly open. We couldn’t figure out if they served any food. We didn’t even understand that it was a bar, not just a tasting room for bourbon, until we went down there. Then, though it was 8:15, we were told it was last call, so we left. I believe these things might be growing pains with new ownership. It’s a lovely property, great location, thankfully excellent air conditioning. Small adjustments, and it could be fantastic.
