The staff were friendly and very helpful in getting our luggage up to our family room. We appreciated the lovely extras - muffins on arrival, popcorn and marshmallows, and homemade soup in the communal kitchen.

Great location, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The onsite amenities in the shared kitchen were very nice. The rooms were a bit noisy but got quiet after 9 pm and the sinks are super tiny, otherwise it was a great choice for our two nights in the area.

Wild Kea Lodge was perfect for our 2 night stay in Franz Josef. Our comfort room was a good base for exploring the area. The communal kitchen and dining area was really handy. The lodge is in the centre of the township so really convenient for amenities.

The stand-out place we stayed on our travels - brilliant staff, lovely room, great facilities, beautifully decorated... but it was the little things like fresh muffins and water bottles when we arrived and help getting our luggage up to the top floor that really made the difference. Franz Josef experience

This was a hostel type hotel with private rooms available with on suite. close to the town (5 minutes walk) the room was very comfortable and nicely decorated. Air conditioning was available and good. Bath room was a bit small but the shower was really good and hot water plentiful. The views from the property were breathtaking especially the snow-capped mountains all around.
