The rooms were spotless, containing a bath with jets and overhead shower. Great water pressure. Located 10 mins from the town in a nice quiet location. The lady at reception was very friendly and helpful and gave us tips where to eat. The gentleman at breakfast was very polite and friendly. The hotel also has a 24 hr laundry with a honesty box available but we didn’t use it.

Room was very clean and comfortable but a bit bland for the size and cost. Could be much improved with a coffee machine or plunger and a couple of paintings on the bare walls. Continental breakfast fairly basic but reasonable. Nice outlook from the room.

Angela was a superb host. So warm and welcoming. The rooms are excellent with lots of thought put in to the little things that make a stay special like - the fireplace in the room and the comfy lounge chairs. Definitely the best place we have stayed during our two weeks roadtrip around the South Island.

This was probably our favorite place to stay in New Zealand. It's out of town so you definitely need a car, but the rooms are HUGE and modern and comfortable and immaculate. Unbelievably quiet at night. Breakfast was fantastic, fresh and delicious with a nice variety. The person who managed check-in was friendly and helpful. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Far and away my favorite place I stayed in New Zealand. We arrived after check-in, but they were super accommodating and kind when we called. The rooms were so spacious and nice, I wish we stayed longer. Exactly the place you want to land if you have spent a long day traveling. The breakfast was also delicious, and the folks working there were very kind and helpful when we had questions about the area.
