Great option in Frankfurt

Located on Frankfurt main street, close to the the Hauptwache and to the Konstablerwache subway station, Hotel Zeil offers excellent accomodation. My room was big, comfortable and clean. Hotel's staff is friendly, helpful and my stay there was very pleasant.

right next door to a night club that goes til 4AM.....loud and noisy. We mistakenly tried to cancel after a prepay and took over a month of them screwing with us to reinstate the reservation. What stress. When we arrived with 2 people they charged us both rooms 400 euro each room additional! Scammed us. small old hotel in decent neighborhood but lots of bars with drunks. Beware

Pros: We liked that it was a short walk from the subway station and near shopping, some good brunch spots, and near the Christmas market. Bedding and towels were clean. Cons: if you left the bathroom door open, the whole room will smell like cigarette smoke. The smoke smell probably travels through the ventilation. Hair that was not ours was found on the bathroom wall. There is no safe to store your important items, nor was there a latch on the door for security. I found this interesting especially since this is listed as a hotel and not a hostel. We also found it odd that they make you return your keys at the front desk EVERY time you leave the hotel, regardless of whether you wanted your room cleaned or not.

Not happy to hear a lot of noise in the corridor overnight, the hairdryer in the bathroom was not working so I had to ask at Reception for a new one. Also, very inconvenient too, to have only one lift. However, the staff were very pleasant and polite.

Sehr freundliches Personal und zentral gelegen. Zimmer zwar sauber geputzt, aber gefühlt Geruch nach Schimmel, der allerdings nicht zu sehen war. Bettwäsche sauber aber Bettzeug an einigen Stellen fleckig.

Very friendly helpful staff, particularly the main reception guy through the day. Location is good. Depending which direction you come from it is adjacent to a red light area but that's fine and avoidable if you wish. Few hundred yards from the u-bahn station. Lots of eateries right outside too. The room was nice. We got a welcome free upgrade on arrival. Hotels in Frankfurt seem quite expensive in general for the city that it is. We paid about 150-160 euro p/n after city taxes, so I couldn't say it's great value for money. This may have been to do with the iron man that was going on pushing price up but I don't think so. All in all not a bad option for a Frankfurt stay. Wouldn't have a problem staying again.

not a good hotel, single bed instead of double, matrasses terrible, wanted non smoking but was smelling of smoke, everything is old and not nice, but people are friendly

Great boutique hotel right on the main shopping street. We went to Frankfurt for a few days to see the Christmas market, which was just a few blocks away. Very nice owners, always asking if there was anything that we needed. Very clean hotel. Dozens of restaurants, bars, grocery stores etc right by the hotel. Highy recommended!

The staff were wonderful warm, genuine and friendly. There is no breakfast, so had to go out but this is not the worst thing. Room was small but perfectly adequate. I would go again, it's a good location

Nettes Personal!

Die Fotos des Zimmers hatten in keinster Weise Ähnlichkeit mit dem Zimmer vor Ort! Das Zimmer war sehr nüchtern und kahl; lediglich ein Duschvorhang als Badtürersatz! Der Fernseher hatte keinen Empfang; trotz Versprechen des Personals, wurde keine Abhilfe geschaffen! Kein Frühstück im Hotel möglich! Der Preis ist vermutlich für Frankfurt angemessen!

We asked for early check-in, and we got our rooms ready at 7AM!!! Never experienced this before. Nice location and service. Only unusual thing - reception is closed during the night (10pm-7am) and it was little bit tricky to figure out, how to enter the building during night. But such experience was really fun :) I would recommend this hotel and will stay here again!
