It's a wonderful oasis, when you step away from the Kelsterbach train station by a very short walk (4-5 minutes) into the Hotel Athens, you are transported to a beautifully decorated rooms filled with natural sunlight. A very convenient and affordable choice for those passing through Kelsterbach.

I received a very warm, friendly welcome and extremely helpful advice for my layover stay. A generous breakfast in the morning was also very much appreciated, and the train station just a block away made it easy to get back to the airport.

The check-in was easy and quick. The front desk lady was helpful and friendly. Since we had a morning flight, she gave us a backroom that was near the parking and easy accessible with all the luggage. I can only recommend this hotel. Near the hotel, you have multiple restaurants and even a little bar near the river.

Great location for public transport, including FRA

We chose this place because it's a <5 min walk to a train station (Kelsterbach on the S8/S9 route). It's only one stop away from the airport and no transfers to get to either Mainz or Frankfurt main station. We were additionally pleased that there is free parking (from 4pm to 8am). The owners are efficient, the room was a good size with ample hot water and water pressure, everything was clean and modern. The bed was comfortable. Would definitely stay there again if in Frankfurt and needing a place near FRA!

Was there 2 nights. The owner was great! Stored my bags as I was early for check in. The room was right on the main floor facing the street so I was not able to leave the window open. Oh lord, I made a mistake! I went for the proximity to the airport and positive reviews. But it was SWELTERING in Frankfurt and there is no A/C. I asked to see the room before signing anything and the woman at reception asked repeatedly, "Why?" Eventually she let me check the room: there was one window, the bed was nicely made but there were hairs on the mattress and no fan. She offered me an upgrade for €30 more and it was a bigger room with a balcony and a fan! I didn't know that the temperature wouldn't drop below 26C until 3am. There are no screens on any of the windows, so leaving the windows open meant mosquitos. I had to take a cold shower before sleeping and went to bed with wet hair, which of course hurt my neck. The showers are nice!! In the morning, my son went to get breakfast at 8:30 and she told him breakfast was over-- at 8:30AM! I went back to ask when breakfast was served, and she said 7AM to 9AM. ?? Kelsterbach appears to be a working class area and we did have a delicious meal at Da Michelle very close to the hotel, but everything else is on a busy street. Not the idyllic place it looks like in the listing. Complaints: no kettle, no water ("You must pay for water," she said) no A/C and not good pillows. Likes: close to Airport, quiet at night.

Ver good hotel. Just be aware you won’t find anyone before 14:30 Hrs. So if you arrive early and if the weather is not good you are out in the open with nowhere to go. Lighting in the rooms could also improve but other than that a wonderful place to stay. I will definitely be staying here in the future ( as long as I arrive after 1430 !! )

It was the. most ridiculous hotel I've ever stayed in. A hotel without any elevator!! I paid $150 to stay for a couple of hours till I catch my flight in the morning, but the hotel did not have any elevator and the staff just watched me to struggle getting my luggages to the second floor!
