Our stay at Mount Cook View was absolutely wonderful. The view was incredibly beautiful, with stunning scenery that made every moment feel special. Being so close to Lake Matheson and the Fox Glacier Viewpoint was a huge bonus and made exploring the area very easy. The place itself was very clean, well maintained, and thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The staff were very friendly, welcoming, and helpful, which made our experience even better. It felt peaceful, comfortable, and perfectly located. We truly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Fox Glacier.

We loved our stay at the Mt.Cook View Motel! The room was perfect, so comfy, quiet and clean. Matt and Hannah are amazing hosts and helped us with anything we needed. They went above and beyond to make sure that our stay was awesome. We were able to catch up on our laundry at the convenient washer and dryer available. Thank you so much Matt for going out of your way to help find out about the road closures for us and allowing us some extra time in the room . We will definitely stay here again when we are back. This was our very favorite accommodation of our New Zealand trip!

Amazing views and comfort

Fantastic spacious rooms with plush carpet and well equiped kitchen. Couch was huge and comfy. Beds comfortable with beautiful large windows, mountain and hill views. Easy access to glacier lookout and lake.

Best motel in Fox Glacier

This is an amazing motel. We always stay here. It’s super clean, modernized, fabulous view and great people. On top of that it’s dog friendly. Very underrated. You won’t regret staying here.

We stayed in the standard 1 bedroom apartment and it's super spacious, there're one double and one single in the bedroom, and another double and single in the living area so can accommodate 6 people. All beds with electric blankets and there's a heater as well. All the facilities in the room is top notch. I especially like their design of all the power points and light switches at the right spots! On top of all there are two lovely dogs that come and greet us as soon as we drove in and come outside the window of our room every now and then. The location might be a bit far from town centre but most people come here with a car so no a big deal.
