This is my third time staying at Carmel Taiba. And always surprises me with the excellent service. Danilo, the chef, was very attentive to my allergies. The décor for Valentine’s Day was incredible!! I love everything about this resort. Great experience with excellent service!

My wife and I had an amazing stay at Carmel Tabia Exclusive Resort. The staff did everything to make our stay enjoyable, we felt the care they took to make our honeymoon special meant the most to us. The highlight of our stay was a beach dinner with roasted snapper over coconut shells. We enjoyed every amenity they had available. We highly recommend the spa and gym during your visit. We want to thank Daniel for being an exceptional host and everyone on the Carmel Tabia Exclusive staff.

On the positive side, the views from the pool are astonishing and the architectural design of the property is impressive. The spa is well equipped and the therapists are competent. The bed linen is of high quality and the staff in general tries hard to make you feel comfortable. For the price they charge that’s all kind of expected though in my view. On the negative side, service is a bit sloppy. As an example they offered us a butler service to unpack our bags and organize clothes. We accepted it but they never delivered it. We complained about a foul smell in the bathroom a few times but they never managed to fix it. The food in the restaurant is not what’s expected from a 5 star hotel especially at the prices they charge. The chef seems to really love bell peppers and coriander and can’t manage to prepare dishes without these ingredients unless one requests it one day in advance. The very humble next door restaurant (Saravah) manages to prepare any dish to anyone’s taste at a fraction of the price. Lastly, the area around the property is a bit rough. There are very limited restaurant options, it feels a bit unsafe and there is no beach service.

The hotel is very sophisticated but the food is price for something simple and if you try to order the dinners experience with the fish make sure they show the size of it. Around the hotel don’t have much to do and only 4 options of places to go if wanna it something outside. Good options of wine 😉 But the place is nice to stay 3 or 4 days maximum after that nothing to do 😬

Café da manhã ótimo, bastante variedade, senti falta apenas de bolinhos caseiros, o lugar é lindo, perfeito para descansar. Cardápio excelente. Atendimento nota bom, as vezes demorava um pouco porque acredito que tenha pouco funcionário. Tem água disponível grátis para reposição, mas precisamos ligar todos os dias e pedir. Achei um pouco absurdo cobrarem 10,00 por cápsula de café no quarto. De resto tudo excelente. Não conseguimos late checkout mas deixaram a gente ficar nas áreas comuns do hotel. Fizemos o passeio de UTV e vale muito a pena.
