We had a good stay overall. The property is on the bay side, so there is no direct beach access, but the free shuttle to the beach across the road was convenient. Driving to the beach is also an option. One thing to note is that a golf cart is not included with the package, so plan accordingly. The property itself is a bit dated, including some of the appliances, but it is very well maintained and comfortable for a short family trip. We enjoyed the pool and the proximity to the beaches and nearby attractions. Overall, it was a pleasant and practical stay for the price.

I love how the lady in the front was very sweet and very aware of things, checking in with her was very smooth and fast. Everytime I had a question she was very quick to answer any of them and made my kids and my stay a very great one! Once we got to the room it was very well furnished and very clean. We will definitely be returning here once we visit Destin again and I’ll definitely recommend this place to anybody visiting Florida.

The condo is really clean. The property is located on the bayside not on the beach but is only 3-5 minute away from the beach. The kitchen might use a bit of updating; however everything is up-to-date with beach theme. Washers and dryers are located on each floor and easy to get accessed to. The price is very reasonable. The only complaint is the pool needed some cleaning. The kid pool has a weird yellow looking hue, which grossed me out a bit. Overall, it’s a very decent place to stay with an affordable price. Can’t ask for more.

1. The staff was lovely and very welcoming. They answered all questions and were knowledgeable on the area 2. The room itself was very clean. It’s an old school room so don’t expect luxury but i was clean and had everything you needed 3. The hotel itself is not walking distance from anything (beach, restaurants, etc) but they had a shuttle that ran every 30 mins.

This is our favorite place to stay when we visit Sandestin. Close to the beach and dining, spacious rooms, and safety/quiet makes it the perfect place to relax! Even with construction going on, we had the perfect trip!

I loved the location of the Bay Club Sandestin, and the amenities of the area. We had access to 3 outdoor pools (2 heated), and there was a trolley to the beach area. We were able to visit other local attractions with just a 15min drive. Within the community there was a dedicated walking path that was beautiful and well maintained. My only complaint is that the actual unit we were staying in, while well-appointed was actual dirty. Walking through the unit after a shower resulted in visibly dirty feet. The showers and bath tub needed to be scrubbed, there was buildup of scum on the bottom of the shower. The kitchen was clean enough, but the dishwasher was dirty enough that I hand washed all dishes rather than put anything in there.

Comfortable Stay

The area was quaint and very nice. The condo was undergoing some renovations so not all floors were accessible. With older buildings comes older smells but overall it was a pretty decent stay. The staff was excellent and very accommodating!

4/10 Poor

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
The room was spacious and initially impressive but closer inspection revealed extensive wear and tear, as well as signs of neglectful upkeep. The mattresses were especially disappointing and felt very low quality - they were so uncomfortably soft from age that we slept very poorly throughout the stay. We checked out a day early due to these poor conditions.

This is not a hotel, it’s a timeshare. Upon arrival they told us we will have a room change the next morning because the people assigned to the time-share will be arriving the next day. The condos are not cleaned thoroughly, we had to ask the front desk to send someone to vacuum the carpet of our second condo; it was obviously dirty with food crumbs, toe nails, dirt. They don’t dust either, we ended up doing our own dusting and cleaning surfaces once we moved in. The couches are old and look dirty, we used bed sheets to put on top on couches so we can seat on it. We also didn’t walk bare feet on the carpet even after they vacuumed, it just looked old and dirty. The climb from the parking lot up to the condo was disappointing and not welcoming, the hallways floors were dirty and dark. As far as the rest of the Sandestin resort, it was nice and no complaint there. We were able to enjoy the beach area, pool, laundry and restaurant. The employees working in the building were friendly and helped with our needs.
We put bedsheets on top to feel comfortable as couches looked dirty
No dusting
