The room was spacious, though ordinary, and the property could benefit from a refresh, particularly in the bathroom. It definitely benefits from an outstanding location near the beach. price was fair. close to beach and not a far walk from nightlife. room was clean (however, smelled of bleach). Bed was real firm. Construction was being done on the hotel. The big issue, FREE PARKING was advertised, however, appeared they don't have a spot for every room. Arrived at checkin time and no spots. After an hour, mgmt found a spot but was not big enough for a standard size pickup. Pictures appear old, as this place no longer looks this nice.

The hotel was very basic. No pool, no amenities, not even a smart TV. Our door was not even functional, the key card did not work, we had to use a physical key. The room smelled old and musty, however the location was amazing. Very close to the beach and pumping nightlife. Also the free parking was a plus.

We had just been on a cruise and was staying 1 night in Fort Lauderdale before going home. The location was great. The room was clean but whatever cleaner or room fresher they used was a bit overwhelming. The courtyard was very nice to sit at night or early morning, just needed to be swept a bit. Staff was very accommodating. We would stay again.

The reviews scared me, but canceling was not possible, so we went with it. Front desk NEVER answered the phone & reviews said they ignore refund requests. A/C was OK, but all windows are sealed. They is no air flow. This was March, so temp was not bad, but I'd think summer here would be hell. Not friendly, but cheap near the beach, we got to check in early & room was clean. I would neither recommend or stay here again.

The Drift Hotel is an absolute gem when it comes to location—you really can’t beat it. Everything you’d want to see or do is just a short walk away, which made the stay incredibly convenient and enjoyable. The rooms themselves were decent—nothing overly fancy, but cozy and clean enough to feel comfortable. There was a noticeable chlorine smell that was a bit strong at times, and the room could definitely use some updates or minor improvements. Still, it had a welcoming feel that made it easy to settle in. The grounds were very well maintained, which added to the overall charm of the property. One standout feature was how incredibly easy the check-in and check-out process was—quick, smooth, and hassle-free. Parking was a bit of a downside, as space is limited, so that’s something to keep in mind if you’re driving. Overall, if you’re looking for a place with an unbeatable location at a great price, The Drift Hotel is a fantastic choice. It may not be perfect, but it’s absolutely worth it for the value and convenience.
