Vacations Close To Fort George National Historic Site

The hotel is luxurious yet, “oovy groovy”. The restaurants & bars were excellent and the staff were all very helpful. The hotel is centrally located and walking distance to all downtown attractions. I absolutely would return to this hotel!!

The hotel was fine, could be repainted as there was stuff splattered on our ceiling, but all in all the room was ok. The staff were very friendly, they treated me very well. The reason for the lack of stars was the surrounding area. There’s a homeless man that always hangs out across the street. He is randomly yelling at people etc. he came across the street and threw a can of ice tea at me, yelling at me, saying he was going to stab me in the throat etc. The lady working was told by myself, as well as a bystander and NOTHING was done. There was not a time I went outside that I felt safe! Horrible feeling and knowing nothing is done made it worse. Unfortunately, I had to cut my trip short (maybe fortunately).

This is a great hotel! It’s family friendly and has many dining options including buffet. The hotel has a grand entry that is clean and offers friendly staff. The indoor pool is fantastic. The basic room was huge, very clean, and comfortable. The bathrooms are large and accommodating. We felt safe here and parking is free and convenient. I highly recommend spending a few extra dollars and staying here as opposed to the adjacent motels.

This historic property is literally steps away from Niagara Falls state park. You can see the Niagara River from the rooms facing the Park. Some of the larger rooms have to be awkwardly accessed from the road, by way of walking thru people eating at their outdoor restaurant vs. thru the hotel but besides this issue and a poorly cleaned room, we had a nice stay.
