Vacations Close To Fort Frederick State Park

We checked in after dark and there were people in a car smoking weed but they didnt bother us. The only things that the girl at the front desk said to me at check in was "I need your id and credit card...sign here..this is your room number and its that way". The guy at checkout said nothing and I had to ask if we were all clear to go. The room was very clean. That was the best part. I believe the housekeepers name was Kinsley. We were very thankful for her because the rest of the property looked kind of sketchy. Also if you are wanting sleep this is not the place for you. We had to turn the refrigerator off because it was so loud. The semis on the interstate were so loud they seemed like they were coming right through your room.

Everyone there was very nice and curtious and friendly. I would definitely go there again.

This cabin needs a LOT of care. It was OK for our purposes, because we just needed a place to sleep more than anything, but if we were actually looking to "vacation" or "rest and relax" it left a lot to be desired--especially regarding upkeep and how it was furnished 1. Our sheets had HOLES in them! 2. No toiletries, other than body wash in the bathroom 3. No bath mat 4. Insufficient towels 5. Not enough dishes or mugs 6. No sponge for washing dishes, or anything to clean and wipe down counters 7. Furniture had stains, basically didn't look very clean 8. Vertical blinds were missing many, many verticals. No privacy in living areas.

Friendly staff & the room was clean & quiet. The bed was very hard & not comfortable.
