Amazing location, would love to have visited in the summer with the proximity to the beach and nice walkways . Staff were very warm and friendly, everything was as described, check in was a breeze. The room was clean and seemed like it was very recently updated. The bathroom was nice, with a rain shower head. Parking is somewhat finicky, you need to hope you get a spot out front (paid parking 7 days a week from 8am-6pm) or park in a nearby underground garage. Due to an early start on check out, we didn’t have the chance to try the breakfast. I would absolutely book this location again without hesitation.

The room was clean and the staff had made sure that the room was accommodating us with kids. The breakfast was lovely too! Unfortunately we had to check out earlier than planned due to a loss in the family on that day. We would love to come and visit again !

Hotel room was excellent. On site restaurant was also excellent. Perfect location as we had a lovely walk down the zig zag path down to the beach after our meal and honestly was one of the most pleasant evenings we have spent in a uk location for a long time.

Friendly staff, well appointed rooms, air conditioning an absolute Godsend, breakfast at the top of its game in terms of variety and quality, nothing I would add or subtract, do yourself a favour if you come to Folkestone don’t waste time looking at other hotels book The Clifton (I have not been paid to say that but comes from a personal enjoyable stay).

A very lovely hotel and well maintained. Accessing upper floors could be quite an issue for those who struggle with staircases as there are many. The lift is very tiny. The room was very spacious and clean. We had a very comfortable stay

Great location very close to the seafront (we could see the sea from our room) and slightly away from noisier/busier part of Folkestone. 10-min walk to train station. Comfortable bed and very good bathroom. Very good breakfast (although bread quality could be improved). Overall a great stay - would not hesitate to stay again when visiting Folkestone again.

Excellent hotel slightly let down by the bathroom. Overall very nice- great decor, comfy beds, A/c, excellent pillows. But the bathroom radiator couldn’t be turned off even though it was 30 degrees outside, there was nowhere to put anything down (no shelf etc) and the shower water was hard to get to maintain a good temperature. I’d still stay there again though. It really was very nice.
