Roach Motel

Check in was very easy. Once we got to our room there were drug deals going on in the parking lot. The room was filthy and the bed and linens were stained. If it wasn't so late and lack of options we wouldn't have stayed.

Not really going to complain as this was a hotel of last resort due to traveling late and apparently a nascar race in darlington so not many affordable choices. The hotel is located just off the interstate. The bed was comfy and we had clean sheets. Towels were left on the bed. Missing the Wyndham toiletries. No outlet on one side of the bed but we travel with an electrical strip for our CPAP machines. It was quiet. Supposedly breakfast the next morning. Hardly. We had coffee, juice machine was not plugged in, 2 choices of cold cereal and a pitcher of milk. Nothing like some of the other Wyndham hotels we have stayed at. We were a little disappointed.

Reviews said good but it was far from good. AC barely worked, curtains did no block bright light from outside. floor was dirty. the room had been recently painted but poor job. Hotels.com said there would breakfast but only if you like kids cereal and weak coffee. We were told nrw owners were trying ti fix it up but they have a l9ng way to go.

Where to begin? I walked in the room and was immediately created by a roach and no AC. The bathroom had not been cleaned in quite sometime, there was dead bugs and boot prints in the actual shower. The AC didn’t work the entire stay. I have pictures and would add them to this review, if possible.

Just don’t stay here…

This place was just gross…. I walked barefoot during the night from the bed to the bathroom in the middle of the night and then back to bed. I woke up in the morning and my feet we black!. The floors have not been cleaned since Regan was President… abysmal and disgusting! Spend the extra $20 and get something without roaches.

Not worth the savings. First they sent me to a room with no bed linens at all. They gave me another room. Noisy people outside. Furniture is old and worn, cigarette burn on couch. Room was old and worn down. Bathroom smelled like pee. Woke up and killed a couple of roaches. Saw the “housekeeper” who looked some old and scraggly guy straight out of a horror movie.

I would like to request a full refund. This hotel was very disgusting. It had a bunch of young people drinking and hanging out in the front at 1:45am (the time we arrived). In addition, the actual hotel room was very disgusting. It was not cleaned or sanitized before our arrival. The bathroom had pubic hairs on the toilet, there was a dead roach on the floor where sink is. There were holes in the wall, and it smelled horrible (dirty). I am requesting a refund because we could not stay in a place where we feared we were going to get robbed and because it was filthy disgusting as again, it was NOT cleaned prior to our arrival. How can Expedia suggest a place like that? We are requesting a full refund.

Shock and huge disappointment

The room was filthy. The sofa was stained. The desk chair had no vinyl left in it. We cleaned all hard surfaces ourselves with Clorox wipes including the entire floor. The bathroom fan didn’t work. There was writing on the headboard of the bed. There was no channel guide in the room for the tv. We had to have a waste basket and min fridge brought to the room as both were missing. There was no water in the outside pool. I think it’s mainly a place for people to live as some rooms were occupied as permanent living quarters.

Room was not put together properly. Towels ledt on bed. Ironing board did not have a cover nor an iron. Fridge leaked. Floors not swept properly nor washed. Vanity not cleaned properly. Toilet appeared to be dirty with an orange ring in the bowl. Door did not latch or close properly and didn't know until someone walked into our room while sleeping. Bathroom door does not close or lock. The only chair in the room was broken.

This property was dirty. I was worried for the safety of my family. The door look liked someone had broken in. The shower curtain rod was barely on the wall. The fixtures in the bathroom were rusty and falling off. The room smelled of cigarette smoke and mold.

If i seen the room before i booked, no way i would have stayed there. Only good that was there was the front desk staff. Room was nasty. Spider webs, bugs on curtain, room was stink, sheets were dingy, shower curtain was nasty. Very outdated.. VERY MUCH NEVER AGAIN. So glad i was there for a short time, not a long time.

Nice staff. Bed and room was very clean and comfy. Bathroom needed some repairs. Shower was hot and strong, so good there. Breakfast was a community loaf of bread and butter and a residential coffee pot of weak coffee. This place is a solid 2.5/5 star place for a quick place to lay your head while traveling through.
