We stayed here the evening before we flew out from Florence Airport (with no traffic in the early morning it was about a 5-7 minute drive). The property feels upscale and the staff were friendly and helpful. They upgraded us to a suite and arranged our taxi for the morning. The suite, including the bathroom, were spacious, clean, and modern. If you don't want to go into the heart of Florence (either a train or long walk), there is enough to do in the area for an afternoon. There's a lovely park across the street with an incredible building -- part of the Univ. of Florence.

Stayed at the hotel for 3 nights. The rooms were comfortable, although slightly dated, and the location was around 15 minutes from the city centre by public transport. We had originally prepaid for 4 nights, but due to the national strike in Italy affecting flights and public transport that was not yet confirmed at the time our trip was booked, we had to change our travel plans and leave one night earlier to avoid being stranded. We politely asked the hotel whether they would consider a partial refund or goodwill adjustment for the unused night, but this was rejected without any flexibility. Overall, the stay itself was fine, but the handling of an exceptional travel disruption was disappointing and left a negative impression.
