Location was good. Felt safe in the area. Host was quick with responding. Complementary water and snacks were provided upon arrival A/C can not be left on when leaving the room. So getting back from a hot day of walking around it takes a little bit to cool off. Overall good option for Florence

Overall great experience and location, walkable to most main attractions! Some challenges with understanding which mode of communication to use with host, particularly during check in time (Expedia site had a platform, the host had another platform advertised (?octa-something), though WhatsApp also used in the days prior to the trip). Once this was sorted out (WhatsApp!), Barbara was great with communication!

Host was there to greet us for arrival. Gave us some great spots to check out. Very easy to find / check-in to. Allowed us to check out a few minutes late and store our bags which was a huge plus. Awesome area as the neighborhood has amazing dining options. Everything is walkable from there too.

The hotel is beautiful, clean, decor is nice, and the rooms are great. High ceilings, modern, with a light and airy feel. Generous toiletries and the soap scent is pleasant but not too strong (which is important). We had a wonderful family trip (with 2 teenagers) to Florence and enjoyed staying at Santo Spirito Venti. Our room was spacious, clean and we gad attentive service. This neighborhood is across the Arno River from the Florence City Center, but short walk to the Duomo, Ponte Vecchio and Uffizi Museum. Thiis oltrarno neighborhood was less crowded and quieter than the historic center. Our host Leonardo was very helpful with recommendations for restaurants, gelato and arranged our early morning taxi ride to the airport.

As mentioned in a number of reviews the location is great but there are a number of other things that we found disappointing with our stay. The booking site references daily housekeeping but our room wasn’t serviced at all in the four days we stayed and we had to empty the bins ourselves as they were overflowing. There was a kettle in the room but nothing else provided to go with the kettle except two mismatched mugs – no tea, no milk, no sugar, not even a spoon. The plug socket on the wall nearest the window was loose and in danger of falling off when you tried to use it. The safe in the room didn’t work and although it is mentioned that there is one by the front desk, as this is unmanned I don’t know how that would work. The bed was too big (I know that sounds weird) but it made the room really small and you had to crab walk around by the window as there was no space around the bed - a slightly smaller bed would have fitted much better. There is Wi-Fi as advertised and the hotel is in a fantastic location to explore Florence but the rest of the experience was unfortunately less than impressive.

The Santo Spirito Venti is in a great location if you want to be close to the Piazza Santa Maria Novella area but want to avoid the noise and crowdedness. It is near a lot of good restaurants. The room was clean and there were enough room for my three kids and me. No complaints but some things of note. Like many old buildings it is hard to regulate the temperature. It was still mild outside (in the 50s F). My kids and I found it really hot in the room. I keep my home at 67 F even when it is 20-30 degrees outside. There is an elevator but it is really small and can hold maybe 2 petite people and one small carry on. Just a note for those who are use to hotels or B&Bs in the States, to bring some shampoo and conditioner (there is body wash provided), and the toilet paper is much smaller so you may want to make sure there is enough spare rolls ( I think it's because the bidet is used in lieu of toilet paper).

Great, lively area of popular bars and restaurants very walkable to major Florence sights on both sides of the river. Room is small but efficient and comfortable. I do miss that it is not a full-service hotel. The host, Leonardo is very nice and had some great restaurant recommendations, but he is not normally present. In order to check in, first you must arrange by phone/text to meet you on the street to let you in and finish the process. I recommend it for travelers used to travel light and who don’t require traditional hotel services, but not for everyone.

While a nice room, the hotel owners were only there for a very short time each day, the place runs itself- sort of. Instead you had to use a code to the front door, another for that elevator and another for the Hotel front door which was up many flights of stairs. A little bit of a hassle. But the bigger hassle was no help getting a taxi back to the train station, which is no easy feet, no ability to store luggage unless you want it out in the open, that sort of thing. Small thing but with parents and kids, can be big. Breakfast was decent, but at a cafe a few blocks away. Hotelier not very concerned .

Located in the very trendy and hip neighborhood of Santo Spirito in Oltrarno, Firenze. Very close to amazing restaurants, bars & wine windows. One block from the Arno River in between Ponte Alla Carraia and Ponte Santa Trinita. Witness one of the most beautiful and vibrant sunsets you’ll ever see from either bridge. Barbara, the caretaker is amazing and always available with any information you may need. Very close walk to everything you need to see. Quaint building with everything you need! I highly recommend for couples and families alike!

The location is convenient for visiting many attractions in Florence. However, access to the room is not very easy. It is on the second floor, and you need to climb a few steps before reaching the elevator. If you are traveling with heavy luggage or large suitcases, this may be inconvenient. On our first night, we noticed that the shower drained very slowly. We reported the issue, and it was fixed the next day, which we appreciated. The hair dryer worked for only a few minutes at a time and then stopped, requiring a waiting period before it could be used again. One thing to note is that the host may ask you to pay the city tax through a payment link rather than charging it directly to your credit card, so don’t be surprised if this happens.

Barbara made our one day accommodation so easy. She was very helpful. The place is very clean and close to all the good tourist spot and restaurants. The only this is... the air-condition drips water the whole night but we used a combination of towel and trash can to capture the dripping so it was all good. Overall, it was all good.
