The staff was very accommodating to our requests. Professional, courtesy and extremely helpful. The location was perfect. 10 steps from a local laundry mat. Many tourists used the facilities and the owner was very helpful in assisting many Americans on how to use the facilities. The rooms were clean and breakfast was great. It’s not an upscale luxury hotel but we felt very comfortable and safe staying Room Mate Lucca.

Property was centrally located, quite clean with very small rooms. The free breakfast was nice. We had an issue with our booking that I felt wasn’t handled the best by the staff as they cancelled our booking and had to rebook which could have been handled better since we were in contact with them the whole time.

The rooms were definitely small especially the shower. Otherwise it was neat & clean. Good breakfast (7am-12noon) and lounge room. Very conveniently located to SM Novella station 10 minutes walk and to all the attractions in Florence are all mostly walkable or take a bus right outside the hotel or around the corner of the street including the tram. Very safe at night & good restaurants or takeout or self service are just steps away from the hotel. Overall it was a great hotel for our stay.
