I cannot speak highly enough of Ostello Bello. The location is perfect, the staff is very friendly, the hostel itself is wonderful with an app you use to access the property and your room. They held a pizza night my first night there, which was great for meeting other guests. It is definitely a very social hostel. I would absolutely stay here if I visit Florence again.

AMAZING!!!!

I am so impressed by this hostel! Me and my friend were amazed of how friendly and helpful the staff were & how clean and nice the rooms were. Amazing also that they had a bar that is open 24/7, and also so nice to sit on the terrace. Location was also perfect. We booked 2 nights but ended up extending to 4. I would recommend this to anyone!

Hostel atmosphere

Room was basic and tired looking. Comfort was good with dark curtains, high threadcount sheets and firm mattress. Not really for older adults because most guests were in their twenties. Tiny bathroom and no minibar so impossible to keep medication refrigerated.

When we arrived our room had not been cleaned. We returned to the desk, they apologized, and issued us a different room. There were some used towels hanging in the bathroom, but everything else was clean. We had requested 2 beds when booked thru Expedia, but property said they didn’t receive that information, and would have cleaning staff correct it the next day. Cleaning staff was kind and fixed the beds for us. We purchased breakfast with our stay. It was simple, but adequate, and worth the convenience.

I am a 69 year old American woman and took a chance on a 'hostel' in Florence. I will choose Ostello Bello for all of my Florence stays from this day forward. I reserved a single room which was large (for a hostel) and quiet. Ostello Bello has free wifi (I was on a working vacation), fun activities for all, the location is PERFECT. Staff is patient, helpful, and a free drink on arrival set the tone for the weekend.

I was there August 9-12 and the staff that was there during this time went above and beyond. Super friendly and energetic. Not the best with names but huge shoutout to the people that led the sunset tour and karaoke night on Saturday. Would highly recommend.

I was amazed at how inclusive this hostel is. The staff is super. Friendly, smart, quick. They have a kitchen available with enough free supplies that you could make fantastic family/friend meals - with numerous communal gathering areas. They also organize simple, inviting group activities. The spirit of the place is inspiring. The location couldn't be better. Straightforward, secure entry to the rooms ... exceptional cleanliness of the beds. I'm very impressed.
