Fantastic stay while in Florence. The gentleman that welcomed us was a font of knowledge and provided all and a lot more than we expected. Very clean hotel, modern fixtures and fittings. Location was fine, a 15 minute saunter from the Duomo. Would recommend to anyone!!

It’s hard to believe this hotel is rated only 3 stars! Considering the spacious rooms, modern furniture, renovated floors, spotless rooms, and, most importantly, the helpful and welcoming staff, I would easily rate it as a 4-star hotel. The staff was incredibly helpful and always greeted us with a smile. Special thanks to Edouardo, whose restaurant recommendations were excellent and made our stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommended if you’re visiting Florence!

Nicely located hotel. The room was spacious and we loved the coffee station (although we would suggest adding coffee whitener to the amenities). Staff was so helpful explaining the details for a stress free stay. She also pointed out several must sees on a map. Would stay here again.

What a nice surprise! We've stayed at the Essence Hotel for only one night, and the stay couldn't be better. The room was spacious, with a very nice view of Firenze. Location was great, only 15 min walking from the Santa Maria Novella train station. And Rafaella, from the front desk, was so lovely with us.

This hotel has an only few rooms on random old building but in front of the hotel has really nice & quiet park, very modern and clean rooms. It is walkable from Duomo and historic center of city and train station.

The hotel is about a 15-20 walk to most historical locations in Florence. Our room was large on the fourth floor with a great view. The hotel is mostly like a bed and breakfast as it doesn’t have a main hotel lobby to enter from as the hotel starts on the 3rd and 4th floors. We enjoyed the relaxed location of the hotel as it was across the street from a nice park and bus stops are conveniently close. Our room was cleaned and made up everyday and everything was in working order.

The checkin staff was helpful - provided us a map and recommended us where to go and even where not to go. The hotel has a modern vibe which we love. It is walkable to the center and train station. Wifi was fast which is a plus for my son. The only negative thing is that something seems to be biting my son who has his own bed.
