“it was an excellent location for our trip to cartmel races ,very clean and tidy and a spoons on your doorstep, what more could you want”

“I rarely write reviews about holiday stays but had to do so for our three night stay at Grange Manor. The room was fabulous-luxurious,spotless and so comfortable and the extra finishing touches made it a home from home. Breakfast served every morning in the room was a delight. “We used the Hare & hounds as a stopover on our way home but will give serious consideration to returning to explore the Lakes from there”

“Lovely room, very comfortable bed and a great breakfast”

“Lovely old building, well located and enough parking at the back of hotel in side street. Comfortable bed, room was well maintained, especially the bathroom. Room was spacious enough for one person.”

“Stayed here a few times. Service didn’t feel as good as previously. Few things missing in the cabin (milk) kindling, logs. Managed to get some from staff but they weren’t replenished. Had a meal in the restaurant. Again not as nice as previously”

“Our room in the coach house was compact but was very clean, had everything we needed and overall satisfactory. Our room faced the main road so lots of traffic noise. The shower room window had clear glass & faced the car park with only a blind for privacy. Last time we stayed we were in a larger quieter Lapwing room which for us was better. Breakfast was very good food & service. All staff attentive, willing & helpful. Would stay again but aim for Lapwing upgrade.”

“Location was ideal for an overnight stay on the way to Scotland. Home cooked food in the restaurant was great. Parking was very convenient.”
