I will start with a positive! Staff friendly and accommodating. That is the only positive I have to say about this hotel. Rooms leave a lot to be desired, very run down and would benefit from a good clean. We moved rooms 3 times before we made the decision to stay - wish I had stuck with my gut and left straight away. Restaurant and bar area needs a good clean just as much as rooms. I can safely say I won’t be back and certainly would not recommend this place.

So after reading comments from others, good and bad, I believe this hotel has a two tier room system. The front looks good and is ground level. The back is seedy and it seems they haven't made any attempts to do even small things to make up for the dated rooms. The restaurant was good, staff were great. Room was not clean but at least the sheets were, which was appreciated. It looked like the floor had been mopped without vacuuming, small pebbles, what may or may not have been a toenail etc. Something on toilet seat and wall . Garbage can with very rusty pedal, mat inside door was very nasty looking. No windows to open, NO END TABLES. Hand soap close to empty.

The room needs a good paint, stains up the walls, a few broken items, and furniture is looking worn HOWEVER the staff are brilliant and helpful and the place is very clean . Very good value for money and great position to visit Chester and Cheshire Oaks
