“Lovely old pub in beautiful location, excellent breakfast, with home made preserves. The dinner menu looked very exciting but sadly we were dining elsewhere. Staff most helpful, carrying luggage and providing information. There is an onsite brewery! The night was extremely hot, so difficult to sleep, but very comfortable bed and well equipped room. The bathroom could have done with refurbishment to the tiling and taps, but was acceptable. There is a large parking area, by the river garden.”

“Had a great stay here whilst attending a nearby wedding. The hostess Vicky was very helpful. flexible and friendly. Rooms were spacious and immaculate and the breakfast in the morning had a very large selection of things to eat as well as a cooked to order breakfast. Everything was great...recommend to anyone”

Our room was clean, neat, well appointed, with a refreshments tray including lovely homemade cake and the folder containing menus and directions for the nearby pubs for meals was well thought out and presented. “Absolute disgrace of a place. Myself, my mum and my two children booked here for two nights. The fold out bed was apparently for two people. There’s no way. There was a single duvet on it and only one clean towel on top (three towels in total for 4 guests), so even the staff are aware that it cannot sleep 2 persons. This resulted in myself and my two children sharing the bed and my mum on the sofa bed. The tv flex wasn’t long enough to reach the socket. There was a used plaster, hair ties and...
