The kitchen staff, janitor and security staff were brilliant - responsive, supportive, patient and very helpful. However, the reception staff were an opposite - unwilling to help us book our 2 rooms next to each other even though we had 2 kids under 5 and so we had to make do with walking across the cold corridor at night to see to their needs. The amenities in the room were not so great - furniture in the rooms looked old, paint and door hinges coming off in certain areas, remote control falling apart, sofa chair smelling damp. I tried calling the reception several times, and was unsure if it was connecting at all of they were just not picking up. Overall, not sure I'd stay again if I have a similar or better option.

Best located hotel in FES

A very good hotel and well located in the centre with many places to eat and easily accessible taxis. The hotel staff are very helpful and we was very early before the check in . One of the managers Ibtissaam, she helped us to check early as we had an early morning flight. She also was very helpful with good advice on where to go and what to do. Ask for her she is always at the reception Desk. The pool is very clean and close to rooms There is rooms facing the pool also Rooms are cleaned daily Very good hotel and good location Staff very helpful .. especially ibtissam

The property was not kept up with. It is quite old and the beds are hard to sleep on. The pictures look beautiful but the rooms don’t look anything like the pictures. The bathrooms are very bad with the placement of bidets and the toilet.

Good choice but…

This isn't my first stay at the hotel. It has a brand perception that should be maintained. However, the breakfast offerings are lacking. I stayed in room 118 on the ground floor, and that room is in desperate need of renovation. In any other place in Europe, that room wouldn’t be used unless it had been refurbished!

No hot water

The hotel was lovely from the outside and had some very beautiful features. When we arrived the receptionist told us that they had a problem as no hot water in the hotel. He offered us complementary breakfast but we were very disappointed because this is not what my wife and I expected. The room was a little dated as there was not a standalone shower but a bath with a shower over the bath. Cold washing was the situation of our 2 day stay. Other than that the room had a lovely balcony overlooking the swimming pool and gardens.

Nice place has a lot of potential. Took more money than what agreed through Expedia. Not the most helpful of people ask for ice on a couple of occasions to no help. The fridge is terrible for keeping anything close to cold. Asked for an iron but to no help. They do not change the bedsheets on every occasion of housekeeping. Get your money exchanged else where they don’t give a good rate. They think customer service is a smile only. For a four star hotel it behaves as a two star.

Nous avons dû hausser le ton pour obtenir un lit pour notre fille d’un an, car il n’y avait pas de lit parapluie dans cet hôtel. Cette information n’est d’ailleurs indiquée nulle part. Le parking est très souvent complet, et nous avons dû nous garer à l’extérieur de l’hôtel à plusieurs reprises. Le personnel reste néanmoins très attentif, disponible et gentil. La chambre était propre.

La chambre et les équipements rien à dire. Il y a une chose que je reproche c'est l'horaire du petit déjeuner qui est très tôt par rapport à des vacances d'été. En plus le personnel de ménage demande de ranger les chambres très tôt ne respectes pas l'intimité et rentre sans même vérifier si on est dans la chambre ou non. C'est la seule chose qui m'a dérangé.

Ich hatte insgesamt einen angenehmen Aufenthalt im Hotel Volubilis. Die größte Stärke des Hotels ist die zentrale Lage – viele Sehenswürdigkeiten, Restaurants und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind gut erreichbar. Das Personal war freundlich und hilfsbereit, und der Check-in verlief unkompliziert. Das Zimmer war sauber und geräumig. Besonders angenehm waren der Pool und der Gartenbereich, in denen man nach einem Tag voller Besichtigungen gut entspannen kann. Das Frühstück bietet eine solide Auswahl und ist für einen guten Start in den Tag ausreichend. Das Hotel ist allerdings etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Die Einrichtung könnte an einigen Stellen modernisiert werden, und kleinere Renovierungen würden den Gesamteindruck deutlich verbessern.

L’hôtel est bien situé, plutôt propre avec un joli jardin. Un grand bémol, il refuse qu’on déjeune à l’extérieur alors qu’il y a des tables. Les boissons sont chères ainsi que le restaurant. La taxe de séjour à régler sur place ne correspond pas à ce qui était marqué sur Hotels.com. Je recommande la ville de Fès qui est magnifique. Petit déjeuner sympas mais à l’intérieur … Je pense quand revoyant certaines choses dans cette hôtel, il serait très agréable et nous éviterait de consommer à l’extérieur.
