Convienient spot next to the train station and always plenty of taxis. But the walking area around the hotel wasnt the nicest. Dirty and not the most safe. Hotel itself was nice. Easy check in/check out and pool was clean.

Next to Fes rail station

NExt to Fes rail station. Plenty of taxis to get around very cheaply or easy to walk. Good swimming pool. Basic room, disappointed there was no kettle to make tea. Comfortable.

Hotel close to train station and food options

Located next to the Fes train station. Lots of eateries nearby. About 20-25 minutes drive away from the medina. Hotel has a nice pool. Room a bit small and overall cleanliness can be improved.

Fes Ibis Baguette

The bread was the highlight, the bread "baguette" was one of the best I have eaten outside of France. Being close to the train station was perfect. Carrefour is not very far (walking distance). Will stay there next time

Extremely basic. The lobby area is refurbished but the rooms are basic. It does the job though if what you want is a place to lay your head that is right next to the train station.

Upon arrival, we requested a mini fridge for my mother, who requires proper storage for her medications to maintain their effectiveness. To our disappointment, the hotel was unable to provide this basic and essential accommodation. Despite explaining the importance of this request due to medical reasons, the response we received from the staff was not only unhelpful but also unprofessional and rude. Their attitude was dismissive, and the service felt cheap and careless. Given the seriousness of the situation and the lack of empathy and support from the hotel staff, we were left with no choice but to check out early and urgently find alternative accommodation at a nearby hotel that was able to meet our needs. This experience was distressing, unacceptable, and not at all reflective of the standards one should expect from a reputed hotel chain. I will not be recommending Ibis Hotel to anyone in the future, and I hope this feedback prompts serious reflection and improvement in your customer service and medical accommodation policies.

Good place but need to work for pest controls. I killed several flying insects and ants inside the room and when I shower the water leaks outside the bathtub. Even thou I very carefully did it.Hotel looks beautiful. But they have to take care about the small things.

Positives pool is ok a/c worked had hot water wifi ok Not good - food offering is hopeless - customer service non existent except pool boy - Chinese propaganda is the default TV - people roaming pool grounds making noise at 3am - the three or more roosters that roam the grounds make a lot of noise - security is lacking eg - people sleeping all night in the pool lounges - “guides” outside are hostile and threatening - taxi drivers are aggressive also Yes it’s cheapish but could easily be so much better

I had an extremely disappointing and frustrating one-night stay at I bis Fes, and I would strongly advise against booking this hotel. Despite having a prepaid reservation online, the hotel reception insisted that no payment had been made and demanded full payment again at check-in. I showed them my payment confirmation along with the deducted amount from my bank, yet they continued to treat me like I was trying to cheat them — making me feel like a low-level tourist who couldn’t afford to pay. Completely unprofessional behavior. Unfortunately, the nightmare didn’t stop there. The air conditioner didn’t cool at all — it just blew warm air, and with Morocco’s heat at this time of year, the room was unbearable. I complained three times, went back and forth with the reception, and after over an hour, they finally sent a maintenance person who didn’t speak English. He simply checked the unit and said, “It’s working” — apparently, blowing air equals working AC in their standards. No attempt was made to fix the issue or offer a different room. To top it off, the room itself was a disaster — no towels, no tissue box, no water bottles provided. The room was so small I could barely move around. This was a pathetic and frustrating experience from start to finish. I will never book an I bis hotel again and urge others to avoid this location entirely.

This hotel has 3 stars since it has a swimming pool, and large landscaped gardens. The gardens are well maintained, so it is unfortunate that the internal of the hotel is not maintained to same standard. The website advertises a front desk safe, but there is not one. A very unhelpful reception told us valuables would be OK left in room. Reception staff were indifferent to guests, no acknowledgement when passing through and talking to each other when dealing with any guest queries. No hand towels in the room, air con not reacting to thermostat adjustment, hot water in bathroom fluctuates when several guests using at same time. Breakfast reasonable continental, catering not quick to replenish. Hotel location is good, just by rail station, and 15 min walk to Hassan 2 avenue and walkable to the large shopping centre. Good eateries on the way and a food court in shopping centre. Hassan 2 avenue busy after dark, as it is a popular place of locals to mingle and socialise. Walkable to the souk and medina, GPS not accurate in the narrow 9000 alleyways and you can easily be in a parallel alleyway leading to a dead end. Beware scams in the souk especially fake guides who will want to show you the tanneries for free. We felt safe in and around the hotel and the souk. To conclude this hotel needs to improve the internal standards and facilities to fully justify a 3 star rating. Without the pool and garden, Ibis would be mid 2 star.

Disappointing Stay The room was dirty, the air conditioning didn’t work, and the shower temperature kept fluctuating. When I reported these issues, the staff didn’t even offer an apology or attempt to make things right. It’s clear the room wasn’t properly prepared for guests. The only positive aspect is its convenient location near the train station, but unfortunately, that’s not enough to make up for the poor experience.

The room was very noisy due to poor sound insulation from the window – you could hear a lot from outside. The bed was hard but okay, it worked. I was going to swim and asked for two towels – one for me and one for my dad – but they said they only had one left, and then they ran out of towels. The one I got felt a bit damp, like it might have already been used, which wasn’t very pleasant.

Ventilation system and facility DOWN

The was no air conditioning during our stay. Only hot air comes out of it. The hotel reception said it was due to the season. Mornings and nights were cooler but during the afternoon was really hot and stuffy. In the reception area air ventilation was stale and insects were hovering around. The room given to us had a tap that just had hot water running and below the sink was the leak was bad. Obviously maintenance of the hotel facilities were lacking. After checking with the receiption they got someone to check on the issues without making sure there was a way to rectify it. We had to varify the situation again and still no solution were given to us at this point. So we headed out of the hotel to catch some fresh air while allowing time for the staff to allow the change of hotel room as requested at the first place. The other room was better but air-conditioning was still an issue here. The only solution to it was to off it totally. Dry heat in the afternoon was not the most pleasant. There was only a slight opening allowed for the window. It does not to much of air circulation but instead you might expect insect bites instead. Definitely not recommended to stay in this hotel unless train station next to it is the main concern you have. Otherwise get a better place elsewhere.
