The staff were friendly. The hotel was absolutely bare bones, not even a picture on the wall. It felt like a cell. It was loud in the reception and with cigarette and weed smoke all around the entrance door from the people congregating there.

This hotel was fine for an economical one-night stay in the area. Nothing fancy, and shared bathroom facilities (many of which were 'out of order'). The bedroom was fine, although it would have been nice to have a tea kettle in the room. The location was good -- not too far from Edinburgh Airport, and convenient for visiting the sites in Falkirk and Stirling as long as you have a car. The staff was there 24 hrs/day, so could accommodate our very late arrival due to flight schedules. Overall we would definitely use them again if we have a quick overnight or early flight EDI.

Room was very basic, just a sink and a wall rack with some coat hangers on. There was a tv but I don’t really watch tv. Walls could’ve done with a coat of paint but the carpet was clean and the bedding also. Pretty much the cheapest I could find in the area and I was only there for one night so was perfectly adequate for my needs. Toilets and showers were in the halls of the hotel, not in room so if you’re fine with that, good. Don’t be expecting Premier Inn style in room amenities. A couple of toilets and I think a shower room were out of order but this didn’t cause any issues at all. Staff were very friendly and polite, couldn’t have asked for more. There was an ample kitchen space with fridges/freezers, kettle, microwave and even a couple of hobs for cooking. Overall I was happy with my stay and would use this business again, although if I’d had my kids with me I would’ve probably wanted bathroom amenities in my room. For short stays of a few days I would definitely recommend, for longer stays or travelling with younger children I would want an in room bathroom.

Prison-cell chic. Did not feel safe. First thing I did on arrival was to see if Travelodge next door or Premier Inn down the road had any rooms. If they had, I'd have moved out after ten mins. Nearby toilets out of order. Didn't dare use the shower. Sticky carpets and odd smells. Might be related to the weird 'cigarettes' in the carpark. Dreadful. Never using Metro Inns again.

For me it's not as bas as others have said. It's a bargain priced Hostel and there is a good reason why it is so darn cheap. People seem not to have looked at photos to see what the rooms are like. Unlike other people I heard no late night noise, no banging of doors, no dodgy people staying, no smelly rooms and the staff were polite and courteous. The floors weren't the cleanest but that ensuite was spotlessly clean. There is parking outside, several restaurants around the corner and alongside a main road. As you can see in the photos the ensuite bathrooms are small and I mean small, if you have a shower the floor next to the toilet will be soaking wet. also well the bed isn't the most comfortable I had no problem sleeping. As I said it's cheap for a reason, you won't be staying in a great place but I had no overall problem.

Staff always available. Really helpful and very kind all of them. Kitchen really good for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The price is really good for all the service. If you know hotel Formule 1 in France, this is exactly one of them, but with people in the reception.
