The location was confusing with map apps as a result Uber drivers lost in pickups. The owner was very helpful in waking up the guests when she confirmed northern lights found. The room was comfortable.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. Every morning JB would make a hot breakfast for the guests. The room was clean, spacious, and felt more like home than a hotel room. The lodge had a great pourch to view the Northern Lights, and I could even see the lights from my bedroom window. Dont sleep on this one, book a stay!
Our stay at Alaska Grizzly Lodge was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. The hosts were extraordinarily attentive, warm, and welcoming, making us feel completely at home the entire time. Every corner of the lodge was spotless and beautifully maintained.
One of the biggest highlights was their aurora wake-up calls—they actively kept watch and made sure to notify us the moment the northern lights danced outside, ensuring we didn't miss a single magical moment. On top of that, the breakfasts were nothing short of spectacular: freshly made, hearty, and delicious.
If you are looking for genuine hospitality, comfort, and the ultimate northern lights getaway, this is the place to stay.

The room was nicely decorated but small. Homemade breakfast every day excellent. Very friendly manager. Loved the hiking trail.
The entire experience was fantastic. We stayed for four nights and breakfast every morning was more delicious than the next. The owners were extremely nice and made sure our stay was everything we wanted it to be ( specifically making sure we saw the Northern Lights) We left early in the morning and they made sure there was something for us to eat before leaving. We will 100% stay there again and can’t wait to go back. We had 2 young boys with us and they loved the experience as well. Thank you Grizzly Lodge!!
Outstanding Stay Near Fairbanks
We had a wonderful stay at Alaskan Grizzly Lodge. The rooms are clean, beautifully updated, and very comfortable. The gourmet breakfasts were a true highlight—fresh, delicious, and thoughtfully prepared each morning.
The staff is exceptionally attentive and welcoming, making you feel genuinely cared for throughout your stay. One of the most magical perks: you can watch the Northern Lights right from the lodge’s decks.
A fantastic place to stay near Fairbanks—highly recommended for comfort, hospitality, and unforgettable views.

Hosts were so helpful and nice. Knowledgeable about the area and very comfortable beds
Everything was perfectly right, nothing less nothing over. Their hospitality is exquisite. The charming lodge is surrounded by beautiful woods the guests can take a stroll through it. Breakfast is well-prepared, healthy, and delicious! The best experience is viewing Aurora Borealis from the deck, we all had a great time. It was amazing! I can't think about anything negative. Thank you so much for all.

The husband and wife owner operators of the lodge were very professional and helpful. This included waking guest to see the northern lights should they occur and assisting with watching moose on the property. The breakfasts were excellent.
Fred and Janet are a delight! The offer the most amazing service of an "Aurora Wake-Up Call" -- during the night, when the northern lights are at their peak, they will knock on your door and let you know it's time to go outside.
Very sweat and cozy place, feels like home, the owner serves good breakfast, coffee and alert the guests when the northern lights appears. We got good advices for our trip and ice museum, we really enjoy the place.
Our room was very clean but tight with 3 adults and luggage. Something to note, there are not many plugs for devices. JB was wonderful and very helpful. Breakfast in the morning was delicious! A bit out of the way, but great if you are looking for Northern Lights.
The property is about 8 miles outside the city. Very quiet, beautiful lodge. Wonderful hot breakfast served each morning. Host couple very knowledgeable and gave us numerous ideas of places to go.
Janet and Fred were excellent hosts! They create a friendly, comfortable environment. Breakfasts were excellent and prepared freshly every morning. Having Janet wake us up to see the Northern Lights was truly a highlight of our trip to Alaska. I would recommend this B&B to anyone visiting Fairbanks.
Totally loved the Aurora borealis viewing spot from this property.. really enjoyed the interest from owners and yummy breakfast. Definitely recommend and might visit soon. :)
Great B&B; the host is very friendly; they are somewhat more focused on winter guests to serve them for incredible Aurora Viewing events; nonetheless the stay was comfortable; rooms a little outdated, but comfortable. Definitely would go there again. Somewhat pricey in my POV.
