The property was decent. The front lobby is nice. There is a pool and games for people to play. There was a great outdoor space for people to grill and hangout. The breakfast was fair. Fruit, cereal and microwave able items in the refrigerator. The rooms were a bit dated and the beds were less than desirable. The staff was helpful and nice. You get what you pay for.

Front desk staff were great - friendly, responsive and helpful. The “backyard area” looked really nice and inviting (it was raining when we were there, so we didn’t actually use it). Our room was as basic as it could be: minimal furnishings and not even carpet or rugs on the floor. The bed made loud noises whenever I moved around. The floor in the room was sticky, the floor lamp and the clock didn’t work, and we didn’t have the right remote for the TV. The dispensers in the shower were visibly dirty and the soap dispenser in the shower was empty. I would not recommend or stay there again

I showed up for check in and an employee was smoking in front of the no smoking sign. We haul our suitcases upstairs to our corner room and it's not ready with sheets off and room open. It had a bad vibe and smell. I ate the price of the reservation and stayed at the Comfort Inn and have no regrets. Comfort Inn was comfy, clean, and had a nice breakfast.

Everything was good until our toilet and shower started backing up. We had to move rooms when we were exhausted from travel. A partial refund should have been in order at least. Other than that its a really cute property and i can tell they are trying. Has an excellent game room for kids and a community kitchen that will fill all of your needs.

I had a problem the first night with the TV. There was an event nearby and think I got one of the last rooms they moved me the next day to a room I liked. Mattress was good. It was my first time staying there and the room is worth is at there normal rate. The staff was nice. Location can’t get any better in Fortuna.
