Years ago when we lived in Ettlingen I admired the historic hotel Watthalden property and we had a very happy stay there this summer. The hotel is nicely decorated, the suites are spacious with kitchenette facilities, we found the breakfast buffet to be excellent, and the surrounding area by the Alb River is beautiful and serene. We were just a short walk to town with its wonderful dining, parks and shopping. Short walk to the train for Karlsruhe and beyond. Lovely stay!
