“We have just stayed here for 4 nights and would highly recommend. The room was very clean and had everything we needed .Even though we were on the ground floor at the back we did not experience any noise from the bar or restaurant. In fact the only noise we heard was the cars on the gravel in the car park. The food was excellent there was so much choice for breakfast. The evening menu was amazing all locally sourced food. We tried several dishes and all of them were so tasty and the portions...

“We stayed a week & had our dog with us, were made most welcome by the owner & staff. The main dining room was excellent and newly refurbished. Our room was cleaned an linen changed several times during our stay. Breakfast was excellent and great value the service was excellent and even the dog got her sausage. There were several lovely walks for the dog within a short distance & all locals were very friendly. Lost of historic places to visit not to far to travel. Lindisfarne / Holy island....

“We had a wonderful 4 night stay at The Gables. Room was fabulous and host Angus so friendly and welcoming. Such a quiet property and bed so comfortable and warm. Bathroom facilities excellent. “Lovely room in a beautiful setting. Unfortunately I was taken ill and had to leave early before breakfast as I needed to get to urgent care in Berwick for medication, for a Chest Infection. But would recommend based on my experience of the room.”
