Vacations Close To Jacksonville Naval Air Station

The hotel was very nice and most of the staff was very kind however there was one who honestly just ruined the whole experience he was extremely rude to my mother. I had arrived early and tried to check in it was to early so I made sure my mom was going to be able to check in without me as I had to leave n she was coming in later. When she arrived she had to call me Bc I had forgotten to tell her it was under my maiden name. I had also put in my card earlier that morning to pay the deposit so she wouldn’t have to. She put me on the phone with the gentleman and I was trying to explain he very rude to me and said he wasn’t listening to me, He didn’t have time for it. I wasn’t being rude. My mother said no one was behind her in line. My mother has a four year-old and was tired from traveling she apologize to the guy saying she had forgotten I had gotten married recently and that she was tired where he made a snide comment well I’m tired to. My mom had waited for me 2 arrive luckily I was only 15 minutes away. When I got there my mom didn’t even want to stay we don’t get to see each other often so it made me feel bad. The guy kept giving me ugly looks while I was waiting to check in. (Like why?) I thankgoodness got to speak to another gentleman who was extremely helpful and guess what my card was on file and was able to charge the card which is what I was trying to explain to the other gentleman on the phone had he bothered listening to me my mother could have been in tbe room

I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and everything was nice. The staff were super helpful. We had a mix up at check in but other than that everything was great! I would come back to this location.

Our getaway to Fernandina Beach and stay at Hoyt House was excellent. Our hosts David,Lindy and Katie were so helpful, as was all the staff. (Shout out to Sydney and Amanda.) Our hosts helped arrange tours for us and were helpful with recommendations on food, entertainment and tours. The morning breakfasts were top of the line. Our room was beautiful, clean and comfortable. And the pool was a god send for relaxing. Happy hour at the bar was a great way to meet other guests, or just enjoy a glass of wine or drink. Definitely recommend Hoyt House and will return again.

We stay here because it's close to family and also minutes to the beaches. The location is excellent and it's always consistent. The only thing they could improve on is the coffee, it is mean!
