“I was really looking forward to my stay at The Candlesticks. However as soon as I entered, I began to have my doubts. The bar area, where the owner received us, looked particularly shabby and it smelt musty. It was 3pm (an hour after checking-in should have started) and the room wasn't ready. It wasn't such a big deal, but it was another warning sign. I was in a single room, which made a certain saying about a cat spring to mind. “Great access to the buses. The hotel room was nice and clean. I experienced faulty swipe cards but that was fixed promptly and the staff were very helpful. The only downside was the area felt a bit rough for a solo woman traveler.”
