The Temple Gate Hotel was clean and quiet. It was a comfortably average stay. While they are keeping up the hotel it is showing its age and could use an overall refresh. Parking was good and it's convienently located next to shopping, pubs and attractions.

The hotel itself is very clean and upscale, and the room was better than expected for the price. Just about every staff member we interacted with from reception to maid services to breakfast hall was incredibly helpful, friendly, and professional. The bed was quite comfortable and larger than other king beds in Ireland (seemed closer to an American king size). Easy access to the Atlantic coast, Cliffs of Moher, Poulnabrone dolmen, Bunratty Castle & Folk Park, Craggaunowen, etc. Would absolutely stay there again.

Excellent location, within walking distance to everything in Ennis including shopping (Dunnes, Tesco, and quaint boutiques) and restaurants. Our standard room was well appointed, warm, and comfortable. The buffet breakfast was outstanding with plenty of choices for vegetarians. Highly recommend.
