The hotel is in a central location easy walking round Ennis. It’s a beautiful hotel with a great restaurant. The staff are helpful and courteous. The beds are comfortable and everything is very clean.

Ennis is a beautiful village and Old Ground is right in the middle. Poet's Corner is excellent. My wife said her meal was the best of any meal she had on a 2 week visit to Ireland and Scotland. Bed slept like a dream. Staff was helpful. Ever a property cat at the door to welcome you to the hotel.

Loved staying in a place with a history. Breakfast was great (although it could be hard to get a second cup of coffee). And the attached restaurant was very nice. Our bathroom had a drip in the shower and although we told the staff multiple times, it did not get fixed during our stay. We slept with the bathroom door closed.

Lovely relaxing stay. All the staff were very polite and professional. The hotel looks tired in places and could do with a make over but still in keeping with the old building. Food wasn’t great in the bar area. Food very bland and very limited menu.
