“Regrettably our room number 6. Did not smell nice. It had the smell of old wet trainers. We did mention it and a room diffuser was turned on. Some of the fixtures and fitting were falling apart. The shower was head was not appropriate for the size of the shower causing flooding. The staff were lovely and theroom was clean.”

Unfortunately, with us being seniors, it was very difficult for us to get our luggage to the third floor by stairs. The size of the rooms are also quite small but clean. “Third time at the New DG. New management seems to be making a good job of it. The pie on the first evening was exceptional! Guinness is still top notch and the Langdale valley is hard to beat!”

“Nos encantó la decoración del hotel y de la habitación. Las sabanas, cama y almohadas muy cómodas. La atención excelente. Muy bien ubicado cerca de los pueblos mas turísticos pero en las afueras para estar rodeados de vistas y vegetación. ”

“El hotel está en muy buenas condiciones. La habitación limpia y la atención del personal muy buena. Buen desayuno.”

“Friendly helpful staff. Great beer and ale selections.”

“Lovely place but one woman Catrina was amazing as she was left to do everything, check us in , run the pub and restaurant. The room was not very clean. I am handicap and it was hard to get around. ”
