The Continental breakfast was good with plenty of choice. The Grab and Go breakfast was a good option too. The Italian Restaurant was great and open for lunch and dinner. “The Ashbourne Hotel operates more like a budget airline experience, where additional charges apply for many basic amenities that other hotels typically include as part of the stay. This includes fees for bottled water, baby cribs, table fans, and even a late checkout of 30 minutes. The staff is minimal and often stretched thin, so expect limited room service. The building is quite old and shows signs of neglect and poor maintenance.”

“The double room was clean & fresh but the 'standard' size double bed does not compare well with the more usual 'queen' size provided in hotels in this price range. The staff were brilliant ambassadors for the hotel - Maisie & Jenny in particular - always attentive, always happy to engage with guests, always thinking ahead to anticipate the needs of their guests.
