“Pros:: Lovely old pub, AC worked well, great location, plenty of parking, big room and bathroom. Bed was hard, but that is personal preference. Old building is beautiful but with it comes low beams, uneven steps, etc. Con's: Breakfast seemed a bit disjointed (only 1 staff member on) kept having to find staff (same with check out) - not a huge issue as pub not that big. “The accommodation was fine, clean rooms, the staff were helpful and friendly, plenty of selection of food (order at the bar), continental breakfast was fine for me including fresh coffee etc. just what I needed.”

“3 night stay over Easter. Pub was clean and comfortable although bed mattress was very firm which meant disturbed sleep for stay. Owners very welcoming. Breakfast was 8-9am which I felt was a little early as we usually like to have a lazy wake up without having to have alarm on so wasnt as relaxing as we would have liked. Breakfast was good but simple so would not have wanted to stay any longer. 1 or 2 nights at the most. No fruit or alternatives and not asked if we preferred eggs cooked...

“Although the property required updating and attention, the staff were very helpful and caring. My mum took ill during our stay and the staff were amazing and helpful. A great team in a hotel with so much potential and quiet surroundings. Very peaceful 😌”
