Ok, I wanted cheap since this was a quick trip, and cheap was what I got. The motel is very old and my room (7) was tiny. So small that basically there was only room for the bed, TV and stacked microwave/refrigerator. There was also a sink near the door to the bathroom. None of this bothered me, but there was only an overhead light -- too annoying to leave on. There were no lamps and the wall mounted sink light did not function. So, I was left with keeping the bathroom (and loud exhaust fan running) light on. The microwave was non functional and the refrigerator had been turned off and was hot and stinky. There were no dresser or other place to stash non hanging clothing. The bedroom floor was a wood laminate and appeared clean, albeit some planks had edges raised from water damage. The bathroom was small but okay. The platform bed (no box springs) was the firmest I have ever had, and I loved it! The three tiny pillows were flat and virtually useless. The AC did not cool the room until early the next morning. The TV was annoying--the remote sometimes didn't work, the volume was limited on the TV (not good since I have hearing problems) and there was a three hour timer that would turn off the TV. I could put up with all this but the Friday, Saturday and Sunday I was there there was no hot water. I was afraid I'd have a heart attack trying to take my QUICK showers. Only the extra firm bed made me rate this motel two stars rather than three.
