The hotel itself was lovely, however, they charged us almost $1000 extra for our children even after we paid for them. They said it was an "administrative mistake" and we had a balance. This is predatory behavior. Completely ruined the experience.

The shows they throw at night every night are amazing! They also do events throughout the days such as pool or foam party! They do events for kids as well which is awesome! It is super safe as well, great vacation!

I definitely recommend this resort , my check in was great Jesus was the best. Very welcoming and polite. The buffet was good & plentiful cleanliness could have been better but it wasn’t unpleasant at all. I ate like a guy at a buffet supposed to eat . The bartender was good & nice drinks made to get you where you’re trying to go. Pool area was clean & very spacious swim up bar.

I enjoyed the Riu Guanacaste 4 night stay. The rooms were clean. The food was good. The beach and pool were great. Go see the monkey bar. Monkey's enjoy eating the grapes so take some with you! Enjoyed the night shows and pool foam party! Missed the white party beacause they do it only friday night. Staff was nice. Pura Vida! I recommended this hotel. Gifts on the beach look for Mr. Emilio and his wife. Overall I plan on going back to do the tours next time.

We loved our staying at Riu Guanacaste. The hotel was in a nice location. They have monkeys right next to the hotel and the beach was very nice. The staff was amazing and the food was very good, they have a wide variety of options at the buffet, the only thing I would say is that the other restaurants are a little difficult to book because you have to make a line before they open to get a spot. The road to get to it needs to be paved. Im glad that they will be updating this hotel because it needs it, but I will say that I loved everything about it. The entertainment crew is really great. I will definitely recommend people to stay here and I will definitely come back again. Pura Vida!

Very big hotel. Restaurant reservations were not very well organized. They didn’t take reservations on all the gourmet restaurants so we had to stand in line at 5:30pm to be able to make it that night. At that time, it was still sunny and we could have enjoyed the pool or beach longer. Great beach and pools. Very close to the Eco Diamante park (strongly recommended). Staff were so kind and helpful. Rooms didn’t smell that great (musty).
