Booked a room at the Bathgate motel during Xmas time. The town of Egmont was super quiet (we barely saw people outside). The room has a beautiful ocean marina and ocean view. It also has a balcony where you can enjoy a coffee or a meal.

Nice small hotel. We had an amazing view from our balcony of the harbour which made it memorable. Typical small hotel. It wasn’t luxurious by any means but it was clean and did the trick. Very handy to hiking in to see Skookumchuck Narrows. We had a nice dinner overlooking the water at The Back Eddy …. Just a short 5 minute drive away. Overall a good experience.

This resort is perfectly located if you are coming to see Skookumchuck Rapids. It is clean, spacious and with a wonderful view of Egmont Harbour. It is exactly what we wanted for this visit.

The place is in a great setting on the west coast of BC. Great place for hikers, boaters and other outdoors activities. There are no tourist trap shops selling junk souvenirs.
